Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: Episodes 1 & 2 Brief Review
I'm only 2 out of 7 episodes in but it feels safe to start reviewing the series.

Being a huge fan of Susanna Clarke's book, here's my short review: The miniseries is awesome. Seriously. From the acting, to the costumes, to the sets, to the production value, to the editing, the series is amazing. Even if you haven't read the book but are into period dramas that feature magic (because there are so many of those), watch this show.

Nearly everyone in this cast is playing their roles perfectly. And there is so much excellent face acting to go around. Here's a sample of what I'm talking about. This is just after Jonathan Strange (Bertie Carvel) has cast his first spell to show off to Arabella (Charlotte Riley), the woman he hopes will be his wife.
