Is Maria Stark and Tomor okay? Just in case I need to borrow him in the future.

Or, if you'd also like to go retro: how about Toshiko Sato of Torchwood fame?

I shall do both! I'll get back to you with Tosh but here's Maria and Tomor.

Animal: North American River Otter
Name: Tomor
Nickname: Mo (only Dejeni, Demira, and sometimes Takeo call him this)
Major Personality Traits: Industrious, no nonsense, likes being straightforward and appreciates others who do the same.
How he/she sleeps: Before they got married, Maria almost always sleeps on her side so Tomor curled up against her stomach when in bed. After they were married, Tomor slept half curled around Dejeni just above Maria and Howard's heads.
How he/she travels with his/her human: Tomor drapes himself around Maria's shoulders like a shawl when they're traveling.
What he/she does when his/her human is at rest: Usually he's off building something, tracking Demira down, or having a swim in the indoor pool. Sometimes all three of these activities can be combined.
Favourite forms before he/she settled: Before he settled on otter, Tomor was almost always a platypus. It was an unusual choice and many of their family members were not that pleased about it which was probably why in the end he went with otter.
What his/her voice sounds like: Tomor has a tenor's voice, rather light and lilting.

This provides a lovely mental image for me of Tomor swimming around with tools in his hand while Demira does somersaults in the water nearby and swims away giggling when Tomor gets close. Presumably as Tony runs around the pool deck with Maria tinkering and telling him he's going to break his neck.

Thanks so much! This will potentially be useful.

Here's Toshiko Sato's daemon!

Animal: Amami rabbit. While rabbits are so numerous in Japan that there's even an island dedicated to them, the amami rabbit is endangered.
Name: Sisu (meaning "determination" and "strength)
Nickname: Soo
Major Personality Traits: Curious by nature, protective, and often reserved, Soo isn't always comfortable in large groups. But get him around those he's closest to and he shows himself to be quick-witted and charming. When upset or angry, he burrows under a sofa or table to hide.
How he/she sleeps: He sleeps on his small pillow that's usually positioned next to Toshiko's pillow.
How he/she travels with his/her human: When out on the field, he'll walk beside her. When they're sitting somewhere, he prefers to be on her lap.
What he/she does when his/her human is at rest: Toshiko is rarely at rest (this is Torchwood after all) so relaxing usually means she's programming which usually means Soo is with her, offering suggestions and sometimes impatiently budging himself onto the keyboard to just do it himself. When they're alone in their flat, Soo and Toshiko talk to each other quite a lot and usually fall asleep while having a chat.
Favourite forms before he/she settled: Soo liked being a dragonfly and sometimes a crane, mainly because then he got to fly. He still misses it sometimes.
What his/her voice sounds like: Soo has a more pronounced Japanese accent than Toshiko but tends to sound more British when interacting with others.

Awww, I really like this! When I was looking on the Wiki page for amami rabbits, it mentions the mothers dig holes and guard the entrance from enemies while her children are sleeping. That's a really great metaphor for what Tosh did as her job. :-D

I also love the detail of him burrowing under something when upset, and the idea of him and Tosh talking to each other before bed.

Thanks so much!

Yup! When I ran across this bit of info, I decided to make Soo an amami rabbit. Originally, I was going to make her something more closely related to Japanese folklore but I liked the idea of a mostly quiet animal fiercely protecting her young.

Thanks for the prompt!
