Favorite Avengers Party Game
Who wants to play "Can you lift Mjolnir?"

I love how Tony tries three times, the third with Rhodey's help and nothing.
"Are you even pulling?"
"Are you on my side?"
"Just represent. Pull!"

I adored the look on Thor's face when Steve managed to budge it a little. There's an awesome fanon going around that Steve realized he actually can lift Mjolnir but pretended he couldn't so as not to offend Thor. Oh, Steve! You've grown since that kid from Brooklyn who got into fights just to prove completely unsuccessfully that you could punch things.

I grinned at Bruce's little "Et tu?" gesture to see if Natasha wanted a turn.

Also, Clint apparently got Quicksilver's powers in between the movies because he's moving all about the place depending on the shot. Ha!

Heee, saw that clip last night watching AoS, so beautiful! And that fanon for Steve vs Mjolnir is pretty marvelous. Thor's expression was fantastic.

I liked how the clip was comedy even though the rest of the preview is all ACTION DRAMA ACTION!!! - I like my superheroes on the lighter side and the MCU's humor is one of the reasons I love the verse as much as I do...

You can practically see the relief on Thor's face when Steve gave up. Or rather, "gave up."

The trailer was far too epic doom and gloom for me to get excited about it at this point (fun and team relationships are what I seek in a superhero film), but I do very much enjoy the party game scene. I am digging Thor's Earth clothes. That must be fun from a costume designer's point of view to decide what style might appeal to Thor as he walked through a department store to pick up something less viking-y.

I want this to be true so bad. And I want later in the film for him to have to pick it up and use it in an emergency scenario and being really apologetic afterwards.

Also, Clint apparently got Quicksilver's powers in between the movies because he's moving all about the place depending on the shot. Ha!

He's a hawk, they're quick. It's like the human version of the way a bird's head moves in quick, sharp increments.

I'd like to think that this is a really bad habit of his though, and anyone who has a conversation with him is constantly going 'for fuck's sake, Barton, sit down for two seconds!'

Thor has really stepped up his Midgardian wardrobe since the last time we saw him. He was all flannel and jeans in Thor 1 and now he's gone a bit Prada for Men. I like the jacket he was wearing in the clip.

I can totally see the guilty look on Steve's face when he's caught using Mjolnir and sheepishly putting it down.

By the way, I've started a fic from Tony's POV where Steve has adopted a bunch of dogs and it's completely fluff and sort of all your fault.

Who's team fashion consultant, I wonder? Someone must have told him to smarten himself up. Maybe Jane, though she seems like she'd dig flannel and jeans herself.

Maybe Tony took Steve and Thor out for a 'welcome to modern Earth' shopping day.

In general I can take or leave ponytails on men, but I do rather like Chris Hemsworth with the messy half-knot they do for Thor.

Ha! Yeah, gently putting it on the ground and dusting the handle off a little and whistling innocently.

Muahahaha! The tables have turned! This is the proudest moment of my life.

Clearly Thor took to it with more gusto than Steve. I mean, I like Steve's simple style but he's still dressing in khakis and button downs of olde.

Ha! Yeah, gently putting it on the ground and dusting the handle off a little and whistling innocently.

"Nooo...this is totally a toy...hammer...look, there's the real one over there!" *throws Mjolnir*

I actually found myself being like, "Hmm, this line is a bit too angsty. Delete. Wait. What have I become?"

I sort of like that about Steve. I can't imagine what he thinks of modern fashion when he went to sleep in an era where women wore short skirts and men couldn't have double breasted suits because there was a fabric shortage, and woke up to a world where men have skintight jeans and purposeful rips in their pants and don't bother to wear a suit even in a business setting and walk around in t-shirts, which were essentially underwear in his day.

I actually found myself being like, "Hmm, this line is a bit too angsty. Delete. Wait. What have I become?"

Hee! You're improving. You used to be like 'how do I Happy? I don't know how to Happy!'. Now you know when you've Sadded.

I usually find if you put enough fluff around it, you can get away with an angsty line or two, even in a fluffy happy fic. It sometimes gives a point to an otherwise pointless fic.

This sounds like a fic prompt.

I think the combo of it being Steve Rogers and a bunch homeless dogs that allows me to Happy with little trouble.

Don't you start.

I think the combo of it being Steve Rogers and a bunch homeless dogs that allows me to Happy with little trouble.

I feel like I should make you a little campaign button with 'No Angst for Steve Rogers on it'.

Don't you start.

I mean, what ARE Steve's thoughts on skinny jeans for men?

I feel like I should make you a little campaign button with 'No Angst for Steve Rogers on it'.

It can be paired with a button that says 'Only Puppies and Sunshine for Steve Rogers.'

I feel like I'm going to end up with a series of fics where Steve has very strong feelings about inanimate objects.

But I don't think he'd be too put off by skinny jeans. I think he'd find the fact that so many people slouch about in their sweats and pyjamas and don't bother to brush their hair or even have a bath when it's so convenient to do that now a harder thing to grasp. I mean, you don't have rationing, the whole country isn't obligated to contribute to a war effort, you can probably take the time to run a brush through your hair before you go to work in the morning, young man behind the convenience store counter,

Yes, because what are Steve's thoughts on dishwashers? Convenient or a huge waste of water when you're not filling the machine to the brim?

Steve probably hates hipsters.

Convenient, because Steve would always wait to have enough dishes to fill it up, but confusing because how many pots and pans do you have to have to run on the pots and pans setting? Just one or two or a whole load? Will they come clean on a regular setting? Is it okay to open the dishwater before it's finished heating them dry? Can you put liquid dish soap in? Why does it need jet dry and the little cubes?

Actually, they're just confusing.

Steve probably hates hipsters

Steve should just wash the dishes by hand. Might be faster in the end.

He's decided to start with learning what exactly permanent press means on the washing machine and dryer. He'll move up to automatic dishwashing in time.

Life just got better. I LOVE the anti tear logo!

Thanks! It was originally a sad face, but it was hard to make out under the text. Here's it's companion:
