Meme (Okay really will take a break from these soon)
Resurrected after being originally taken from dustlines:

Choose 5 shows you like before reading the questions!

1. Elementary
2. Hannibal
3. Welcome to Night Vale
4. Teen Wolf
5. Whitechapel

1. Who is your favorite character in 2? (Hannibal)
Well, this is tough. I'm absolutely fascinated by Hannibal Lecter but let's be clear: he is the WORST. So he's my favorite character to watch but certainly not my favorite person. If we were going by that criteria, I'd say my favorite is Beverly Katz. I love how she's written and played.

2. Who is your least favorite character in 1? (Elementary)
I pretty much love everyone on this show. If I had to rank them all in order of liking, I guess Bell is at the bottom. And it's not because he's a bad guy or anything. It's just he's a bit more boring than the others like Gregson, Alfredo and even Randy, actually.

3. What’s your favorite episode/chapter of 4? (Teen Wolf)
I really liked "Motel California." Yes, the actual plot of that one was very shaky. As was kind of the entire first half season as a plot. But, it featured what goes down as one of the most satisfying character exchanges between the two main characters as Stiles tries to stop Scott from killing himself. I liked that the show was able to bring the audience back to what makes this show work which is the character relationships, not so much the supernatural insanity.

4. What is your favorite season of 5? (Whitechapel)
Season 1 was probably the strongest, story-wise. But season 3 remains my favorite. The format of 6 episodes, 2 episodes per mystery was a good one for this show and by that point I felt like the cast had really gelled. Season 4 would have gone out as my favorite if the only the last episode hadn't been such a disappointment.

5. What’s your favorite relationship in 3? (Welcome Night Vale)
Like 99% of the fans, my favorite is Cecil and Carlos. I love that it's canon and very healthy and normal. It's a nice offset to the fact that holidays in Night Vale can kill you and other such randomly bizarre dangerous things.

6. What’s your anti-relationship in 2? (Hannibal)
Right now it's Will and Alana. Put me down as one of the viewers who never got into this pairing. I can sort of see visually why they should be together but I feel like whenever Alana has to make choices about Will, they tend not to be good choices (setting aside her not starting a relationship with him. That was smart). But she never told anyone that he disclosed to her he's been hearing voices. He works with the FBI and he carries a firearm and she's not his therapist. YOU SHOULD REPORT THAT.

7. How long have you been watching/ reading 1? (Elementary)
Since the beginning of the show so about a year now?

8. How did you become interested in 3? (Welcome to Night Vale)
I can't quite remember. I think I got turned onto it via the Hannibal fandom. Or rather, I think I read an article somewhere about how to survive the Hannibal hiatus and it mentioned trying out this little podcast about the weirdest town in America.

9. Who is your favorite character in 4? (Teen Wolf)
I'm really going to show my age here and say Sheriff Stilinski. That's right, my favorite character is one of the parents. But he's awesome and I very much like the relationship he has with his son, Stiles.

10. Which show do you prefer: 1, 2, or 5? (Elementary, Hannibal, Whitechapel)
It's probably Hannibal but it sort of depends. When I want humor and characters being more functional, I go to Elementary. When I just want amazing acting and beautifully crafted stories, I go to Hannibal.

11. Which show have you seen more episodes/chapters of? 1 or 3? (Elementary or Welcome to Night Vale)
I think I've listened to more episodes of Night Vale because they just have more episodes out than Elementary. Plus, I've listened to some episodes several times whereas I usually watch the Elementary episodes only once, at most twice.

12. If you could be anyone from 4 who would you be? (Teen Wolf)
I would be Deaton. Because instead of saying cryptic things 80% of the time when I know full well what's going on, I'd just be very, VERY clear about what I mean. Scott gets confused even when things are straight forward. Being cryptic helps NO ONE.

13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 1? (Elementary)
Joan is only allowed to die peacefully at a very old age after having lived a very full and happy life, the end.

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work? (Welcome to Night Vale/Teen Wolf)
I personally don't think so but you can bet someone on AO3 has written that crossover fic. The whole point of Teen Wolf is that the supernatural stuff is constantly putting the characters in jeopardy and they're trying to fix it so they can go back to their normal lives whereas danger IS the normal of Night Vale. I feel like Cecil and the Night Vale citizens would just find the plights of Beacon Hills sort of boring. "A Druid priestess is trying to kill you? Oh, we totally had one of those last week AND filled out the paperwork after. Pffsshh!"

15. Pair two characters in 5 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple: (Whitechapel)
Miles and Buchan. Perhaps not in a romance sort of way but these two always butt heads over how to do the work but I feel like if they ever truly join forces without Chandler having to mediate, they would make a good duo.

16. Over all, which show has a better cast, 3 or 5? (Welcome to Night Vale or Whitechapel)
If I'm going to include the live show cast, then Welcome to Night Vale has the better cast. It's much more diverse and talented. No offense to the Whitechapel cast. There's lots of talent there as well but it feels very much dominated by white men. There's literally only one regular female character. In the beginning Night Vale had a cast of 1 but it's since gotten 6 more actors, 4 of whom have appeared on the podcast. And they range in gender and race which I'm always in favor of.

17. Which show has a better soundtrack, 1, 4 or 5? (Elementary, Teen Wolf, Whitechapel)
I've enjoyed the tunes featured on Elementary the best, probably.

18. Give a random quote from 3: (Welcome to Night Vale)
One, seriously? I don't think so.

"You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both. And there you have spiders crawling out of red velvet cupcakes."

"Old Woman Josie has not called, but intern Dana said that Old Woman Josie updated her Facebook page with an Instagram of some runestones.  Dana has been furiously translating these symbols, and her best guess is that they say ‘They come in twos. You come in twos.  You and you. Kill your double.’ There’s also a link to this amazing cat that keeps jumping in and out of boxes and oh my god, that is the cutest thing I have ever seen!  Dana, you have got to post that on my wall.  Oh my god, he loves those boxes so much!"

"May we all be human – beautiful, stupid, temporal, endless."

"Cecil, I’ll do my best to answer your questions, but do know that I don’t specialize in botany or dendrology. I am a scientist. I study science, not plants or nature."

"Listeners, guess who called me this weekend.  Well, hey, I don’t like to talk too much about my personal life here.  This is your community news station, not Cecil’s Personal Life Station, right?"

Your mouth to God's ears. (Or your keyboard to the writers' heads. Or something.)

Amen to that.
