My Mother Watching Sherlock
While my mother was watching "The Empty Hearse" she made an unintentional slashy comment. If she only knew about Tumblr. Just to make clear, she doesn't slash Sherlock and John. No matter what this show dangles.

"I just knew this would end with the two of them on the floor together with the samba music playing."

Bwaha! Reason #943 that your mum is awesome.

I feel like this would be one of those comments you'd hear someone make on a bus and wonder for the rest of the day what the context of it was. :p

She makes a lot of those comments whenever we watch shows together. I love it.

My mum is like that, too. My favourite thing she's ever said was 'I didn't know Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote this. Well, I might have, but you weren't my daughter then.'

She's my favorite media viewing buddy.

*snorts* Oh dear lord, your mom is awesome. Definitely cuts straight to the matter with that scene!

Hi! *waves* Yes, life has been overwhelming. I'm graduated with my BA now, and a relative with severe dementia moved in. Been a crazy holiday season, yikes. How are things?

Congratulations on the BA! It does sound like it's been pretty busy over there for you. I hope you've been able to take care of yourself during it as you have of others.

I'm doing okay. The same ol', same ol' school stuff.

Thanks! Hasn't quite hit me yet, in all honesty. I haven't had a chance to slow down and feel proud, perhaps. Just been running non-stop. My job has been strange. For example, I bathed a guinea pig yesterday. Have you ever done that? They look like tiny little hippos when they're wet. It's a bit of a scream, and their bellies are adorable, and they look at you with such confused betrayal for the wet calamity you're bestowing on them, but I digress.

I am taking care of myself enough to keep breathing. With any luck, this will take me places. *rubs hands excitedly*

Oh, congrats on the BA! I know how much you were struggling with school, so I'm glad you finished up.

I'm sorry there are other stressful factors in your life, but it's good to see you around again.

Aw, thank you, lovely. I appreciate that, both your remembering and your being happy I made it through. Getting the BA was...well. It simply was. I'm glad to be moving forward and concentrating on better, grander things. :)

You are always thought of positively by me. It is good to see you, as well. *huggles*
