Anyone Watch the Premiere of Almost Human?
The FOX show combines two things I like: sentient androids and Karl Urban.

I feel like there should be a joke about Urban playing yet another character who gets to make sarcastic jabs at a robotic-like being. But Michael Ealy's Dorian is probably more in touch his emotions and human than Urban's Kennex so that makes the joke null and void.

::nods:: yep. I agree. I've been looking forwards to this just because of the Karl Urban factor, but I've liked what I've seen so far. I guess we'll have to see if it can deliver.

I thought the set up was interesting enough and I do like Dorian. Whether or not they follow through with the unique bits of the show (the robots and scifi portion) or the more dull bits (police procedural) remains to be seen.

I like Dorian. I'd seen Michael Ealy before when he was in Common Law and it's nice to see him play someone so different to his CL character.

I just watched the first episode. I fear we have here another case of great cast, not so great writers. I'll watch a bit more, at least.

I like Dorian. I think I like Kennix, but that's only because I like Karl Urban. I shouldn't like this character at all.

The second episode probably isn't going to wow you either. Although there was a moment toward the end that got me.

But I like the cast! I want to like the show, darn it! But yeah, one of my other friends called the second ep "failtastic," and from the preview, I'm not looking forward to it.

Still, some great shows have had weak starts. Deep Space 9, anyone?

And let's not forget Sherlock. "A Study in Pink" made me want to punch things.

I also love the cast. I really, really want the writing to improve because this cast needs to stay together.
