The Greatest Show That Never Happened
I randomly started rewatching old episodes of Supernatural. The creators of the show missed a chance here somewhere of having a spinoff series that would star Castiel, Balthazar, and Crowley.

Think about it. The two angels and a demon, traveling around the world, interfering with human lives and snarking up a storm. Before one got killed, one got damned, and the other saved, they would have made an awesome trio. I would have watched the hell out of that show.

I am perpetually in denial about Balthazar's demise. As far as I'm concerned, he's still out there!! Surely loving a character enough grants them immortality, yes?

Seeing as how the Winchesters have died and come back a dozen times, I feel like Balthazar deserves a resurrection. I'd forgotten how perfect he was in "My Heart Will Go On."

Maybe I can live out my dream of the Castiel-Balthazar-Crowley Road Trip storyline in a fan fic somewhere? Surely I can't be the only one who saw that this was perfection in a bottle?

Man, if there's one thing season six did really right, it's Balthazar! Sadly, I could never figure out how to write out his voice, though that'd be a kick-ass story. I can see them uniting over some stupid holy grail quest, grumpy and irritated about having to team up for it.

Well, Cas and Crowley are grumpy and irritated. Balthazar's just a wee bit tipsy and having fun flirting with the locals of whatever backwoods town they've stopped in, while Cas looks on like, "BALTHAZAR, I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M RELATED TO YOU." Crowley, meanwhile, is like, "Well lookie there, I guess your kind isn't completely intolerable. Cassie, take notes."

I have this image of Balthazar living it up at a strip club while Crowley and Castiel look on.

Crowley: Well. I can't tell if this sight is delightful or disturbing.

Castiel: *facepalm*

You know what, you're so right, Balthazar would be the perfect person for Cas and Crowley to realize they have common ground as a result of. They both CANNOT comprehend Balthazar.

Cas in a strip club is all kinds of hilarious. He walks up to one of the ladies spinning around on a bar, and he's like, "AREN'T YOU COLD? HERE, HAVE MY COAT. WARM UP A BIT." And Balthazar is standing on the sidelines, talking to Crowley about how there's no hope for Cas. Just none at all.
