Love/Hate Sunday
I adore Sunday nights because some of my most watched TV shows are now on Sunday nights. But as a general person, I hate Sundays because it means we are just that much closer to Monday. *sigh*

Ripper Street is not on since the BAFTAS are airing instead. Is Benedict Cumberbatch attending? More importantly, is he up for a BAFTA? I mainly want to know this so I can decide whether or not I have to avoid Tumblr for the next couple of days should he not get an award. I already saw grumblings when Ben Whishaw's presentation at the BAFTAS got cut. I can't handle anymore gifs of kittens seemingly wailing up at the skies.

While Ripper Street is not on, I do still get Being Human and Mr. Selfridge. I started watching the latter about a week ago and have nearly caught up. It was jokingly called Downton Abbey with tills though I see it a bit more as the super serious version of Are You Being Served? The series is okay with some solid acting. I'm less intrigued by the actual plots that are starting to weave around all the characters and more interested in the actual Harry Selfridge. His story (the little of it I read on Wikipedia) is quite fascinating so I've gone and bought the book the show is based on.

Ben is neither nominated nor attending, so tumblr should be safe. Martin is there, though. So expect lots of grumpy face gifs from him.

Whether he wins anything or not, right? Because he has such great grumpy faces!

And perplexed faces
and sad faces
and happy faces
and funny faces

I caught a photo of Martin already looking a bit grumpy. Might be because they thought to pair him with Henry Caville for a presentation who is about a head and a half taller.

Being Human isn't on BBCA yet, is it? Do you perchance know when it will be? I've been to BBCA's website (more than once) to check, but they don't seem to have any air dates for the new series.

I don't think it's on yet. I'm going to guess it'll air in a few months from now?

Doctor Who now usually airs the same day!

For season 4 I thought they were about a month behind with Being Human on BBC America at least. Or did I imagine that?

With Who I understand since the show is now about as popular in the States as it is in the UK. But Being Human never really made it over here. Partially possibly due to the fact that Syfy started their own version which really caught on.

I think they were more than a month behind on the last season of BH. I was just hoping that the near-simulcasts of DW promised the same for more shows!

I'm now watching my DVDs of Downton Abbey on roughly the same days they're showing the eps on PBS, but I've had strong hints of spoilers from people who have seen it. Even though we have the set, we could hardly watch it any faster! To stay caught up one week, we made out-of-town guests who had never seen it before watch!

I could use some grumpy Martin Freeman gifs right about now. . . . grump grump grump Failing that, I'll insert a link to the first hit on my "grumpy Martin Freeman" Google search.
