For anyone who has seen the 2nd episode of series 4, check out this piece of comedy gold.

Oh, Hal.

I picture him as the guy who just cannot. FUNCTION. if he accidentally steps in bubble gum or dog poo.

"Get it off. Get it off. Get it off of me this instant!" Hal snapped, his eyes wide as he hopped in circles around the yard. Pearl ran after him, her skirt fluttering about like butterflies that had been disturbed.

"Now, hold on, you!" She grabbed his ankle, causing him to fall and then lay on the ground, quivering frantically as Pearl used a twig to scrape off the poo from the bottom of his shoe. "Hal, it's going to be okay!"

"No, it's not!" Hal clawed up the grass on either side of him, the flowers growing a few inches farther looking very nervous, "IT WILL NEVER BE OKAY AGAIN, EVER!"

Hee!

I laughed like a maniac during Hal and Pearl's conversation while they were pushing the car.

Pearl: Seven petrol stations, Hal. Seven.

Hal: All on the left. I never pull over on the left hand side, you know that.

Pearl: Seven!

Hal: It's unlucky!

The fact that a vampire as old as Hal who has seen more things than he can probably keep a track of, is that OCD now is hilarious to me.

Hahahaha!! That's so true! XD Goodness, I could go so many places with his phobias. Like, like! Like! Like there was that one time he bought a sandwich at McDonalds, but the cashier gave him thirteen coins as change. Hal never ate there again, and he even burned the sandwich in fear of what consequences might arise from eating the MEATY HOST OF BAD LUCK.

This really frustrated Pearl and Leo, as this McDonald's was the closest fast food restaurant to their shop. They continued to buy food there in secret, choosing to tell Hal that they went to the other McDonalds across the bridge. It was a private joke between Pearl and Leo, because Hal never figured out he was being fooled in such a manner.

As Hal chowed down on his salads with mini-croutons and delicious parfaits, Pearl and Leo would just smile at each other across the table and go about their day as Hal continued eating, oblivious.

I think I love Hal. *sighs dreamily* So many ideas! Eee!

I applaud the writers for creating a vampire character so different from Mitchell and yet just as endearing.

Hee! Yes, well, I suppose stranger things have happened. :)

I still chuckle when I remember my incredulous reaction when I found out the new vampire was being played by an Irish actor. I was all, "Really? REALLY?! Will his name be Flan Hitchell?"

*giggle-snorts* "Flan Hitchell"? Hee! Oh wow, that's actually really funny. It's nice to be pleasantly surprised.

I kind of want Monk (from the USA channel) and Hal to meet. I just think that would be comedy gold, and I haven't even watched Monk in years.

Random, but I'm petsitting for a friend's dog and the dog is BARKING HER FACE OFF RIGHT NOW. She has these squealing yips that threaten to break the lightbulbs above her. AHHH, THE MADNESS. *yanks hair*
