I'm so behind on life, both RL and IL
I have so many fics to catch up on as well as things for my school and dissertation. I was going to use this weekend to tackle all of them when...lo, on Wednesday, I was felled by food poisoning. It was awful. I haven't had food poisoning in awhile and never was I more grateful that it HAD been awhile because by Wednesday night, I felt like I was dying.

It's Saturday night now and I feel somewhat human again. I was able to put something in my system other than Gatorade and broth. But when I went outside earlier to try and run an errand, my body was like, "HAHA! Look at you! Trying to walk!" So I went back upstairs to my apartment, had some toast and sat down again. Hopefully by tomorrow I can actually rejoin civilization. Or at the very least, think properly because deadlines wait for no one, no matter how bacteria-ridden.

Isn't that just like life though? What is it they say? Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

I'm glad you're (sort of) feeling better.

Food poisoning is the worst. Well, relatively speaking, anyway.

Thanks for the well wishes! Yes, today the sun is literally shining and I no longer feel like something that needs to be put in a biohazard bag and eliminated somewhere.

Oh, God, hun! I'm so sorry! Much good thoughts from me, I hope you feel better today. I thought you were just away on Spring Break or something, now I feel like I should have sent you a care package. Do you want some otters? I have otters!

Otters
Baby Otters

And look some racoons:

Racoon
Another raccoon (aka how Jarvis and Haddie find Dejeni in the middle of the night when Howard is getting some sort of midnight snack)

I hope you feel better. This probably isn't something you have on hand, and you probably don't want to run out and get some, but a can of coconut milk mixed with a litre of water, with some salt and honey or sugar/sweetener in it is really effective at restoring electrolyte balance. It also tastes like a milkshake, but doesn't have any dairy to bother your stomach.

Thanks! Yes, today is a much better day. I was able to eat real food in small portions and nothing awful happened.

Thanks for the otters and raccoons! I love the first otter gif. I can hear the 2nd otter shouting after getting beamed in the face.

"Ow!! What the hell, Derek?!"
"Sorry, Joe! It's Ring Tuesdays! You know how I get with rings."

That's good! You should stick to the BRATT diet to give your stomach a rest. Bananas, rice, applesauce, tea and toast. And gets lots of fluid into you!

"Guys, I think we need to stage an intervention for Derek. His ring habit is getting out of hand."

I'm picturing little Mim trying to help Tomor build something and being really hyper about it.

"Okay, Demira, hand me the ring--ouch!"
"Sorry, Mo!"

I finally found a promo image for Jarvis! So my portrait collection is complete. He looks about as happy to be in the photo as we had speculated. Jarvis and Haddie.

I hope you're fully back to normal by now!
