Rounding Out Agent Carter Daemons
awanderingbard and I have put together a pretty comprehensive list of daemons for the characters of Agent Carter.

Hers for Angie, Sousa, Dooley, Jarvis and Anna Jarvis can be found HERE.

My previous ones for Peggy, Howard, and Zola are HERE.

Below the cut are two more for Jack Thompson and Dr. Johann Fennhoff aka Dr. Ivchenko.

Jack Thompson
Hannah (meaning "God has shown favor" in Hebrew) is a Bay American Quarter Horse. American Quarters have been influenced by Barb horses, who have been used as war horses due to their exceptional stamina and hardiness. By contrast, American Quarters are largely show horses and sometimes bred for racing as well since their Barb heritage makes them powerful sprinters, earning them the title of fastest athlete in the world. Horses, in general, have a strong fight or flight response, often startling at the sign of a threat and usually fleeing. However, in some instances when their young is in danger or fleeing is impossible, they will stand their ground.

Johann Fennhoff (Dr. Ivchenko)
Tajana (meaning "to keep secret" in Croatian) is a Hermit Thrush. The song of the hermit thrush is considered "the finest sound in nature." Analysis of the thrush's song has shown that it is closely related to human music and unlike any other bird song. The hermit thrush is an inconspicuous bird, foraging on the ground by shaking the grass with their feet to find insects. While the natural inclination of the hermit thrush is to nest in trees, they can get creative if needed and have been found nesting in grave yards and mine shafts.

Good job for Jack! I really like the idea of an animal largely for show, but one who can do some damage if needed. I can see her clopping around the office with her head tossed.

And Fennhoff's is perfect, as I said before. I love her name, too.

Great job!

Good job for Jack!

Thanks! I was also thinking a vulture for him at the start but a horse made more sense in the end.

I weirdly ran across the name Tajana on a numerology website which said that the name is associated with people who like to control people within their influence. So appropriate!

It suits him really well. I'm sort of giggling at the idea of Jack trying to sneak up for a take down and you hear *clip-clop-clip-clop* behind him.

Everyone else: Shhhh!
Hannah: I'm a horse, what do you want from me?

So appropriate!

There used to be a website back in the day where you could submit your name and they'd analyze it for you and I always found it scarily accurate for anyone I entered. Probably in the same way all of those things are, due to you looking for connections, but it was really cool to play around with.

I'm off to bed! G'night!

Hhahaha!

I have images of Thompson posing majestically while being on Hannah's back for press releases and things when he starts climbing the governmental ladder.

Oh, man, I wish I had the photoshop skills to make those pictures. I should get on AC daemon portraits, actually. Except there doesn't seem to have been any promo images of Jarvis taken. Which is appropriate, I guess. He was probably very busy on the day.

"I'm really very honoured to be invited, but I'm afraid today is the day the window washers come and we don't want a repeat of the last incident, that was a very priceless bit of stained glass that was broken. And I'm interviewing for a new cook this afternoon, and the cellar accounts need to be done after Mr Stark's last party, and I have to deliver a bracelet to Miss Weeks at the Clifton Penthouse, but if my cheek is any condition for photography afterwards, I will try to pop in."

It's funny because there was a TV Guide (I think?) photoshoot with Hayley Atwell and James D'arcy but they did it as themselves. No shoot with D'arcy as Jarvis which supports your theory that Jarvis was just too busy.
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 19th, 2015 01:40 am (UTC)
Atwell and D'arcy are super cute friends. Faun!Whishaw probably has them to tea every once in awhile, especially since he and D'arcy seem to get along really well, too.

Jarvis might have just been uncomfortable with photos, too. I sort of picture him as looking really deer in headlights in photos.

Photographer: Say cheese!
Jarvis: 0_0
formerly lifeinsomniacjoonscribble on March 19th, 2015 01:43 am (UTC)
I imagine Jarvis looking very much NOT at the camera when he gets his photo taken. He'll give a very dignified stare just off the side.

What sort of animal would D'arcy be? Nothing comes immediately to mind.

I have a headcanon that Maria Stark never got very comfortable with pictures and Tony notes that almost every picture he can find of her, she's doing something because if she posed, she looks like she's waiting for the camera to kill her. Now I'm pcituring a family portrait with Howard and Tony beaming at the camera while Jarvis and Maria look ready to flee.

I think, due to D'Arcy's lean frame and sweet face, some sort of ferret or weasel or marten would do.

Hahaha! I can totally see that!

Hmm, yes I can see that. I was imaging maybe a taller animal given his height but a giraffe was already taken.
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 19th, 2015 02:24 am (UTC)
Giraffe was my first thought, too. Maybe an ostrich?

Incidentally, D'arcy's height in comparison to Cooper's made me laugh in the last episode when Howard had to get on tip-toe to hug Jarvis. It's like their self-importance is in direct reverse correlation to their size.

Hee! It's the sort of height difference that forces Jarvis to always be pulled down when hugged by Howard.
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 19th, 2015 03:09 am (UTC)
Aww, I have the cutest mental image of Howard hugging Jarvis and Dejeni reaching her little arms up to pull Haddie down and hug her.

They did a good job in casting in many respects for the family resemblance, but bonus points for Howard and Tony both being kind of on the short side, too.

Yes, I can totally believe that RDJ is the son of Dominic Cooper!

Dejeni reaching her little arms up to pull Haddie down and hug her.

You know Haddie would try to take the hug with some dignity and mostly fail thanks to Dejeni yanking a little at her ears.

They even have matching big brown puppy dog eyes.

When I was doing some research into 60s and 70's beauty and fashion for my stories, I stumbled upon lots of pics of Romy Schneider and decided she and Dominic Cooper could probably produce RDJ. So, she's kind of my loose headcanon for Maria now.

Hee! I can see her trying to break off early and lifting her head and ending up actually lifting Dejeni off the floor before quickly putting her down again.

I'm picturing Mim hugging Haddie by basically wrapping her wings over her nose once she's in perma-tailorbird form, and being kind of sad she can't do proper hugs any more.

Awww! Look at you, angsting a little with your kidfic.

This is her 'really?' look.

You should see the section of this Tony + His Kids fic where he's talking to his 5 and 3 year old sons about his parents. Angst out of freakin' nowhere. The oldest kid was talking about flying cars and...suddenly there were feels.

Angie and Ziv.

And Sousa and Eitana (who, I have decided, is called 'Yetti' for short)

Ee! Both of these are awesome! I like how Sousa's daemon is positioned.
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 20th, 2015 09:18 pm (UTC)
Thanks! I have a sort of headcanon that Yetti keeps herself on his good leg side because he can't sense her as well with his prosthetic leg and steps on her or kicks her if she's too close.

ETA: Sorry to bother you! I'm working on a portrait for Jack and Hannah and I was wondering how big you picturing Hannah being? Chad Michael Murray is 6 feet tall, and it looks like Quarter Horses are somewhere between 4-to-50 feet all at the withers (base of the neck), so would she be taller than him with her head straight up? My sense of proportion is terrible.

So I did some researching and sort of figured out that if Chad Michael Murray is 6 feet tall, a horse about 5 feet and 4 inches from ground to withers is doable. So if Jack is standing just behind her on one side, you could probably see his shoulders up. I think. My sense of proportion isn't so great either but that's about the best I can do. Does that help at all?
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 22nd, 2015 03:45 am (UTC)
I was just reading back my comment and realized that I wrote 4-50 feet instead of 4-5 feet, and I'm sure you knew what I meant, but lol nonetheless.

It does help! Somewhat. The promo image for Jack has him in a chair, so now I have to unbend him in my mind and adjust proportions accordingly, but I have a better idea now. I like my weirdness to be as accurate as possible.

ETA: Jack and Hannah.

Yay, awesome job for Jack and Hannah!

For whatever reason I find it slightly strange that they have CMM sitting for his promo photo. Is it to indicate laziness??
The Writer They Call Tayawanderingbard on March 22nd, 2015 03:35 pm (UTC)
They had three locations for the promo photos--one in the Automat, one in the SSR pullpen, and one that I found this morning of Jarvis, Peggy, and Howard in front of Howard's car. Which was small, and had Jarvis hidden behind Peggy, so my brief excitement for finding a Jarvis promo was over. But for the SSR folks, they're in the middle of the bull pen. Dooley's sitting on a desk, Peggy and Sousa are standing, and Jack's in a chair. I don't know why they chose to do it that way, but it's not as random in context.
