Sneak Peek for Agent Carter!

It's probably bad that I'm already getting fic ideas from just this, right?

Oooh.

I like Jarvis, I think. He'll do.

I laughed a bit at Stark's accent for some reason. I feel like he's become more American since the last time we saw him. Maybe just more New Yawk.

I'm already looking at daemons for him. It's happening.

Heh. I love Dominic Cooper but his accent even in the first Cap 1 movie was so obviously not his natural accent by far.

I genuinely lolled at this.

"Congratulations, you've reached Level One of Okay Characterness. Achievement Unlocked: Daemon."

Whenever I see ads for Gracepoint on TV, I keep going 'David Tennant's American accent that bad, or is it just because I know what he's supposed to sound like so it sounds really wrong?'. It worked in the opposite way for Paul Blackthorne. When I heard him use his real accent, I felt like it sounded fake.

On the other hand, Karen Gillan is doing an excellent job on Selfie.

I'm going to wait until I see at least one full episode with him before officially assigning him one. But...yeah, I'll just look for now. More animal browsing fun!

As an American, I feel like it's just not that good an accent. Or rather, it's like I can tell he's having to put in tons of effort to maintain it so it doesn't sound natural.

Yes! When I first heard PB's real accent it felt so incredibly strange.

She is. I wouldn't be able to tell at all that she's not an American based on that show. I wonder if having to do a slight Kardashian-esque way of talking is helping.

I was sort of tentatively throwing about words for that baby!Holmes family road trip to see if anything stuck and discovered I needed to give the Mycroft grandparents some daemons. I was shocked there was anyone left anywhere I hadn't already done it for. I think my Magnum Opus will be the Once Upon a Time characters, because that will take me until forever to get done.

Here's your daily dose of random animal friendships.

I feel like it's a very stereotypical American accent. How Americans sound to people who aren't Americans.

Which again, I had the reverse with Paul Blackthorne because I felt like his real accent is the sort of accent an American would put on to sound British.

I wonder if having to do a slight Kardashian-esque way of talking is helping.

I think there's an up and down-ness to that way of speaking that might be helpful to a person with a Scottish accent, which has an up and down-ness to it as well.

I would be incredibly curious to read it if you ever do this. The write ups would be HUGE.

I love how they're all so fixated on the food. They probably don't even notice that there are other types of animals around them.

Have some otters doing things. That last pic is totally Tomor gathering materials to build something with Dejeni.

That makes sense. I'm convinced Aussies always do a superb American accent because the Aussie accent is similarly flat.

I sort of like the idea that even though their Storybrooke selves were blunted a little from their Enchanted Forest selves, their daemons would have been the same and that's where some of the sparks of their old lives were retained when they were cursed.

In other words, I will probably do that someday.

I feel like I shared those with you in the past, but quite frankly, I have so many animal pics floating around Pinterest and Tumblr, it's possible I passed by them and thought 'oh, otters, I should show those to Scribbler' and never did anything with them. In any case: gsssh! I love how very set on the task the last otter is. 'Going to build some stuff, can't talk'.

The girl playing Elsa on Once Upon a Time this season is Aussie, and she slips up here and there, but I feel like Australian women have different accents than Australian men, and I don't know why. It's more up their nose than with men.

I remember Juno Temple talking about how Southern American accents are the easiest for a British person to do because of...reasons that were technical, but something to do with where the vowels sat, I think.

It's possible you are the original source for me and I ran across them again on Tumblr. If you ever run across something with an otter and a raccoon doing something together, you know where to send that.

I will send that priority post, I promise.

I'm off to bed now. G'night!
