Twitter Vortex
I only recently found out that Lucy Liu, Jonny Lee Miller, and Sean Pertwee all have Twitter accounts. I wasted a lot of (or just spent a lot of?) time on all three of them. Through them I realized that Jonny Lee Miller and Sean Pertwee are old friends as they not only made stuff together before but also had a production company together. This probably explains why they can sell so well the idea that Holmes and Lestrade are old partners.

It also amuses me greatly that as thuggish as Sean Pertwee looks and sounds, his interviews and tweets suggest he's more of a cuddly sort of person. Maybe having a dad who was once Doctor Who had an impact. Oh, and there was this amazing photo of current!Who and Son of Who together. I think this was just taken when the actors met up but it would be pretty awesome if Pertwee guest starred on an episode of Doctor Who. I might even watch the show again for that.

In general, Twitter is so addictive for all the random behind the scene photos the actors choose to put up. Sure, production looks exhausting but also really fun. Where grown ups can act like kids. And you can try to figure out if it's for an actual scene or just because. And we can never forget that the leads of this show are incredibly good looking and ridiculously photogenic. And just very sweet.

I know that the Elementary Writers have a Twitter account as well and did a hilarious exchange with the Sleepy Hollow Writers who also have a Twitter account. But I chose not to venture into that because I do need to do some things in RL. I'll have to ignore the siren call for now.

ACK FINE HERE'S ONE BECAUSE IT'S ADORABLE!

Okay, that's it for spamming.

SQUEE!

(Edited because I pulled the wrong icon from the pull-down menu. Although I suppose Happy John works reasonably well too.)

I had to edit as well as one of the links should have shown JLM doing his version of the Winter Olympics on set.

I almost wish that I still did production work so I could have somehow worked my way into joining this crew.

So I had to go through the links again to see which photo you'd changed! I'm not sure how anyone does skeleton for real; for fake looks pretty scary too.

According to his other tweets, JLM was rather sad he's not at Olympic level for any sport. So maybe he was giving this one a go. Just to see. And he was bored. On little sleep.

Hee! That is awesome. I really need to catch up on my Elementary, but I'm so far behind how that it seems hopeless. I'll have to see how far back the On Demand channel is storing the episodes.

I adore behind the scenes stuff in general. I am a total geek for that. I know some people don't like it, because it breaks the forth wall, but I just love the idea that they are having as much fun as we all hope they're having.

I also adore behind the scene stuff. If anything, I sometimes enjoy watching those than the actual show.

I rather love JLM's bio on his Twitter where he describes himself as a "Professional pretender with over 30 years pretending experience."

If it makes the catch up easier for you, a lot of episodes have been one offs where I don't think skipping them would make a huge impact in terms of the character information.

That's why I love commentaries, too, when they're done well. Especially when you get the actors on there who really like each other and make it fun.

Hee! No amateur pretenders here, just professional ones.

Mum will want to catch up, too, I imagine, so it will be up to her whether we can skip. I think I have some episodes on the DVR, so if I combine those with the On Demand, we might be able to catch up. Not this week, though. Mum's caught my cold, and I'm still not out of the woods. We've mostly gone 'nope, can't follow a plot today, let's watch Adam Hills'.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH TOOO CUTE...I do not have the time to get lost down twitter vortexes (tumblr is bad enough!!) but I love seeing these things (I don't think Elementary has been as tight this season as s1 but I love the actors and this version of the chars sooooo much I hardly care...but seeing them behind the scenes like this, ow the adorable it hurts!)

Photos on Twitter are my downfall. I can stare at them over and over again like the creepy person I seem to be.

I feel like the mysteries for season 2 have been particularly lackluster but the character stuff has been gold for me.

He was in a thing done for the 50th Anniversary called the "Five ish Doctors reboot" right at the beginning.

Try this link and see if you can get it to play, the embed code didn't work.
