Nerdist Writers Panel: Welcome to Night Vale
The Nerdist recorded the NY Comic Con Night Vale panel with Joseph Fink, Jeffrey Cranor, Cecil Baldwin, and Mara Wilson.

You can listen to it HERE. The panel starts at around 17 minutes.

It's not the most informative of panels about the show itself if you've already done obsessive researching (like me, no regrets) on how the podcast came to be. But as always it's fun to hear the charming creatives behind the show. I particularly liked Cecil Baldwin's thoughts on why he thinks fans have gravitated to the Cecil/Carlos relationship. Much of what he said about enjoying that Cecil's sexual orientation is only a part of the entire character echoes my love for when characters of color are characters where their color is a segment of who they are, rather than the entirety of who they are.

Also, he looooooves Khoshekh.

Had a bad day, finally getting around to listening to this to cheer me up, and awww Cecil Baldwin is so adorable. I love that he sees Cecil (Palmer) as a warm person - rather than sinisterly creepy. Also his bit about "you have a great voice for radio!" "I know! Are you a producer???"

And Jeffrey Cranor doesn't sound like Carlos except when he does, which is disconcerting ^^

Sorry to hear you had a bad day. I listening to the crew of NV helped out a bit.

I know, right?! It's so...unexpected.
