I did a few more that were more literal than symbolic.

Murphy & Lestrade
The Three Holmes Brothers
Human Nature

I started a rather extensive one that relates to Welcome to Night Vale which will not make sense to anyone who hasn't listened to the podcast because the images are insane.

Hee! I like how I've gone for your more artistic ones, and now you're going for my more literal ones. They still look great! I love your Murphy and Lestrade one, and the Human Nature one is clever with the quotes. And I enjoy the madness and vindictiveness of the Holmes brothers' gifts for each other.

Even presents are a chance to be passive aggressive! Although, I'm pretty sure the presents Mycroft and Q give to each other are entirely functional and practical.

I admire your ability to even think of presents they might give one another, I totally balked on that for my own Christmas story. It was hard enough to find presents for Mummy to give them, let alone find something not!sentimental enough for the boys to give each other. Yours are brilliant!

Thanks!

Mycroft probably gives Q that titanium briefcase he'll need. And Q gives Mycroft another set of pajamas he needs.

Meanwhile Sherlock gives Mycroft truffles and Q still nothing.

and Q still nothing.

Hahaha! Oh, Sherlock. You are such a child. And we know that he only gives Mycroft a present to annoy him.

I ended up going with a complicated bartering system of favours that they use as presents. Sherlock getting access to Baskerville was his Christmas Favour for that year.

That ouroboros paperweight in Emergency Protocol is the first present Sherlock's given Q in several years. And that was with John prompting him.

I do love that he came up with something meaningful, even if he was prompted to do it. Sneaky!thoughtful Sherlock makes me very happy.

Yeah, John does a good job of nudging that part of Sherlock's brain that can produce thoughtful behavior. It's just very small and not used often.

Which probably makes everyone faint when he does get used.
